Artist Statement

Lesley Cantor's wire-and-bead vessels come with names such as As Red as It Gets and Preserving Eleven.
"It's very personal, you know," says Cantor. "They get named like puppies - you get 'em home and live with 'em for a while first." Chronicle photo by Chris Hardy   2004.

Winters Home was originally produced as a base that was to be bead covered and hold a woven pod.
