Artist Statement
My recent images are close-ups of faces, objects and places. As I travel, I look for interesting textures and objects that can be layered or zoomed or filtered. On my computer, I focus in on a photograph and convert it into abstractions of lines, textures and colors. Ripe peaches transform into human bodies, a stark skyscraper turns into an ancient pyramid. These happy results come after many, many failed experiments.
