Artist Statement
This series, “In Memory Of,” developed from the on-going series of “Babies and Bullets.“ That series symbolizes the two opposite forces created by man: one, a newborn life made with love, and the other, mechanisms made for the sole purpose of destroying another human being.
“In Memory Of “ uses the Christian symbol of the cross. The cross is used as a marker for a life that has been taken from this earth. I want to commemorate each victim, no matter what age. We all have been touched by tragedy.
