Artist Statement
As a child, in Washington D.C., I was continually warned about violence against women. These warnings instilled fear, fear that was protective and inhibiting.
As an artist, I work intuitively, developing drawings, paintings, assemblages, and installations. I respond to violence in homes, schools, to wars and terrorism.
