Art Tag
What: ArtTag is an on-going game played by NCWCA members. Each round consists of artists selecting a theme, picking names out of a hat. creating a piece of art based on the theme, sending it to the person picked from the hat and receiving a piece from another person. The artist makes a second piece based on the theme and influences received from her partner, then sends it on. She receives a second piece in the mail also. She creates a third piece based on the theme and influences. This time, she brings her third piece and the first two pieces received in the mail to a meeting where artwork is returned to the originators and we have conversations about process, creative inspirations, unconscious threads and unspoken dialogs. Any artist can join the next round, but interested artists must attend the third (last) meeting to see how the game is played.
