Disconnect: 2014 NCWCA Members Show
Please read the entire prospectus below before submitting your entries. Any questions not answered in the prospectus may be directed to [email protected]. |
The Northern California Women’s Caucus for Art (NCWCA) announces the 2014 NCWCA member exhibition. The first 40 paid up current 2014 NCWCA members submitting original for-sale artwork within the size, category and presentation conditions described are assured of one artwork accepted for exhibition. Artists are encouraged to broadly interpret the theme, "Disconnect," and submit works in response to the following:
What visual images appear when you hear the word disconnect? Do you have images of objects or people floating in space? Does disconnect drive you to try something new and experimental? Do you see a disconnection between the medium and styles of your artistic presence and past or does it mean staying true to self, throwing out all suggestions and pressures. Do you think of the disconnect between behavior and outcome or belief and reality? Maybe you wish to disconnect from the overstimulated present or find the present too mundane and seek excitement. The possibilities are endless. Creative interpretations are encouraged.
